The Best in Kitchen and Bathroom Awards launches with a bang.
BIKABA 2017 (Best In Kitchen And Bathroom Awards), proudly hosted by Max On Top, attracts outstanding architects, interior designers and aspirational kitchen and bathroom specialists and students from all over South Africa. The nationwide competition is running from November until March 2017. The Awards offer the prestige of peer and industry recognition, and the opportunity to win amazing prizes. The first prize being a trip to attend the Salone Milano décor festival in Italy with flights and accommodation included.
The competition is backed by SA Décor and many reputable brands supporting the Kitchen and Bathroom décor sectors in South Africa, including Kohler, Paintsmiths, M Square, YuppieChef, Eurolux and DornBracht to name but a few.
The finest kitchen and bathroom designers and entries will be celebrated and rewarded at the glittering gala event in May 2017, to be held in buzzing Cape Town at a secret venue.
The panel of judges comprises of credible peers and recognised individuals in the Décor industry. The line-up consists of David Coupar (Max on Top), Rudolph van der Meulen (M Square), VISI magazine, Marcia Margolius (SA Décor) and Alida de Klerk (Kohler).The judging process is completely transparent and confidential.
Entrants and their projects will receive considerable media recognition via a range of newspapers, magazines and websites. All shortlisted, commended and awarded projects are permanent additions to the online Awards gallery. Any South African based design professional may enter.
In order to draw on the full breadth and depth of talent in South Africa, both professionals and student designers are invited to enter. There are two categories; The Apex aimed at professionals above the age of 26 and then ‘The Rising Star’ aimed at Students between the ages of 18 and 26. Both of these categories include Kitchen and Bathroom and entrants may enter either Kitchen and/or Bathroom. Entries for this year’s BIKABA will be opening the first week of November.
